We are a group of Paediatricians who are also mummies. We have all been there, beside that cot, checking that fever, peering at the new rash and worrying about our own children. When we looked around, and spoke to our fellow mums, we realised that there is little written and trustworthy medical advice for new parents explaining for example when to worry about your child, when to go to the doctor, when to call an ambulance.
As a result, we set up courses for parents and carers in our local area of south west London, covering all the things we thought were important to know and our friends told us they wanted to learn about.

Between us with have worked in paediatrics for 50 years. In that time, we have seen a whole range of health problems, advised and reassured thousands of parents like yourselves. We have spent time learning from our patients (your children) and the people they bring with them (you, their parents and carers). We all work in busy London hospitals and care for babies born prematurely up to 17 weeks early, right up to teenagers ready to leave school. They all teach us something and we hope we have helped them in return.
There is nothing quite like looking after your own child when they are poorly. Between us, we have 8 children, ranging in age from new-born to 6 years of age.
